wooo art! A rare occasion indeed \o/

A while ago, I promised this as a blog post to KSPC, my campus radio station. The idea was to interpret the album Young and Old by Tennis. The title, "Origins," is drawn from the second track on the album, which was the first single for it released near the beginning of this year. I haven't written a proper blurb to go along with this yet, but the general idea is that I started by associating Tennis with everything nautical, and from there I wanted to draw a pretty girl ever so slightly fading away in the waves. The ocean represents the calm, easygoing, yet upbeat feel of the album. Her hair emulates time, as youth starts to depreciate near the bottom of her cascading tresses. There's probably more to it that I can pick out, but this will suffice for now!

I spent about 5 hours on this; sketched it while watching a movie in Japanese film class (don't worry, I'm just sitting in on the class for fun lol), and finished it on my compy while listening to Tennis' two albums over and over xD Hope you like it~
